In what political analysts have called an attempt to end speculation about a rift between them, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared a photo on Sunday showing Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaging in serious discussion with him. The duo were seen walking around with the Prime Minister’s hand on Adityanath’s shoulder.
Modi and Adityanath were both at police headquarters on Sunday to participate in the DGP-IGP conference. The conference would end on Sunday.
The photo was shared by Adityanath on his Twitter account.
The Chief Minister also shared a few lines from a poem in Hindi which said that “ Hum nikal pade hain pran karke …. Apna tan man arpan karke … ambar se uncha jana hai … ek naya Bharat banana hai, ” (We vowed to make all the sacrifices to build a new India).

“It is a message to his (Adityanath) detractors within the party that he fully supports Modi,” said a Lucknow-based political analyst.
Whether or not Adityanath’s critics got the message remains to be seen, but opposition leader Akhilesh Yadav certainly received a different message.
the president of the Samajwadi Party (SP) chose to use a couplet to say that it was only a political constraint.
“ Duniya ki khatir siyasat mein kabhi yun bhi karna padta hai ….. beman se kandhe per rakh haath, kuch kadam chant chalna padta hai ” (Sometimes, for political reasons, you have to put your hand on your shoulders someone else).
Akhilesh was apparently referring to the demand by a section of BJP leaders, including some ministers, for a change of guard at the UP ahead of the Assembly elections, accusing Adityanath of failing to handle the Covid pandemic properly 19 in the state.
