Fresh off the release of their 2020 JUNO Award-winning album Abyss, Canadian modern power metal leaders Unleash The Archers revisit their 2017 predecessor, Apex. To celebrate the album’s fifth anniversary, Apex will be available in a limited edition 2CD Earbook, as well as Deluxe Digital formats, on November 18 via Napalm Records. Pre-orders for the Apex Special Edition are available now.
The 2CD Earbook and Deluxe Digital versions will include the complete original Apex album, plus two new bonus tracks – “Falsewave” and “Acoustipex” – reimaginings of the original album tracks “False Walls” and “Apex”, respectively, as well than a newly mastered instrumental version of the original album. The bonus tracks will also come on a limited-edition, uniquely styled 10-inch vinyl EP available as part of the Earbook Edition.
The synthwave reinventing “Falsewave” translates perfectly with the super moody, midtempo vibes of the original track, while “Acoustipex” haunts with a cinematic gothic folk/country-western flavor, breathing new life into Apex’s title track.
