If there’s one Lionsgate movie that needs to be on your radar, it’s The Insufferable Weight of Massive Talent. We got to see footage of this movie during the screening at CinemaCon, and it looks fantastic. So it’s nice to see that Lionsgate has finally released elements of the film. They released six official images and a summary, while IMP price got hold of a poster. We’ll finally have the first trailer tomorrow too, and in terms of early 2022 releases? This one is right at the top of my list.
Nicolas cage plays the role of … Nick Cage in the action comedy The unbearable weight of massive talents. Creatively dissatisfied and threatened with financial ruin, the fictional version of Cage must accept a million dollar offer to attend the birthday of a dangerous superfan (Pierre Pascal). Things take a very unexpected turn when Cage is recruited by a CIA agent (Tiffany haddish) and forced to live up to his own legend, channeling his most iconic and beloved characters on screen in order to save himself and his loved ones. With a career built for this precise moment, the award-winning actor must take on the role of his life: Nicolas Cage.

The unbearable weight of massive talent, directed by Tom Gormican, stars Nicolas Cage, Pedro Pascal, Sharon Horgan, Ike Barinholtz, Alessandra Mastronardi, Jacob Scipio, Lily Sheen, with Neil Patrick Harris, and Tiffany haddish. It will be released on April 22, 2022.
