Cosmopolitan has an exclusive first look at the final book in the trilogy, Final offerwhich will be released on January 31, 2023. But before we find out what Cal and Alana are up to, here’s the official description of the book from Bloom Books:

From TikTok sensation Lauren Asher comes the latest book in the Dreamland Billionaires series.CallahanI’m the Kane brother everyone talks about behind closed doors.

Trust Fund Gamine. Washed-out athlete. High-functioning alcoholic.

No one knows the real me but her.

Lana Castillo, my childhood best friend and the only woman I’ve ever loved.

When I broke her heart six years ago, I promised never to go back to Lake Wisteria.

I kept my word until my grandfather’s will changed everything.

To receive my inheritance, I was instructed to spend a summer at the family lake house before selling it.

The request was simple in theory until my whole plan exploded on the very first day.

It turns out that Lana not only lives in the house, but she also claims to own it.

Falling in love with Callahan Kane was a mistake.

He told me before he destroyed my heart and our friendship six summers ago.

When he promised never to come back, I foolishly believed him.

But then Cal returned, intent on selling his grandfather’s lake house.

The biggest flaw in his plan?

My name is on the deed.”

An extract of Final offer
By Lauren Asher

Cal scans the kitchen counters, noting the hundred cupcakes. “So what’s the special occasion?” »

So much for his departure.

My hand gripping the piping bag tightens. A drop of frosting falls on the half-finished cupcake, ruining my design.

“We are celebrating the last week of school.” I wipe the sloppy frosting off the cupcake with my index finger and head to the sink to rinse it off.

Cal stops me, his hand catching mine before I have a chance to turn on the tap. He pulls me away from the sink. My chest hits his, taking my breath away.

I try to push back. “What are you doing?”

“Something I can’t resist.” The glint in his eye should come with a warning label.

“Cal…” The breathless way I pronounce his name only encourages him.

cal tasks me as a child. “Your mother taught us better than wasting food.” He brings my hand to his mouth. His eyes hold mine hostage, casting a spell over me as his lips close around my icy finger. Every cell in my body explodes as his tongue brushes against my skin.

Cal makes sure to take his time, flicking his tongue back and forth over my finger, cleaning away any traces of icing. Each lick acts like a shock on my body.

The whole thing is both the shortest and longest five seconds of my life.

I try to free myself from its grip and I fail. His fingers gripping my wrist tighten before he releases me, and my hand drops to my side like a pendulum.

“What the hell?” I push him in the chest.

He doesn’t move an inch, even though he makes a point of licking his lips obnoxiously. “You taste better than I remember.”

You. Not the icing. You.

I choke on his words, my sharp inhale making me cough.

“You’re okay?”

I take a step back, adding some distance between us. “No I’m not good.”

“You’re upset.”

I raise my hands in the air. “Of course I’m upset!” You come from…”

“What?” He smirks.

The asshole.

“I sucked my finger!”

Cal bursts out laughing, his neck rolling back from the intensity of his amusement.

Sucked my finger?!

In all the stupid ways you could have put it… Embarrassment floods my rosy cheeks. Cal’s laughter doesn’t help matters, it only makes my blush worse.

“I’ll gladly suck your finger again if you let me,” he teases, wiggling his eyebrows.

One second, I’m staring at him. The next day, I throw one of my cupcakes right at his stupid mouth. He misses her mouth entirely as he smacks against her cheek.

Her laughter stops as her eyes widen. “Did you just throw me a cupcake?”

My answer dies in my throat as the cupcake slides down her cheek, leaving a trail of buttercream on her stubble before falling to the floor.

I burst out laughing. My lungs burn from laughter and my eyes water in automatic response.

He wipes his cheek with his thumb. “I would run if I were you.”

“Why should I run? »

He devours me with his eyes as he sticks his thumb in his mouth. “A…”

My eyes roll. “Seriously, cut it. I have to get back to work. I wave to all the cupcakes that still need to be frosted.

“Two…” He grabs a cupcake from the Tupperware and twirls it around in his hand.

“You wouldn’t dare.”

The smile on his face makes my body quiver with excitement. “You know what happens when you challenge me to do something.”

Surely not.
