Maggie Lindemann – who has amassed over a billion combined global streams over the past two years with a string of singles that include the 2x Platinum ‘Pretty Girl’, ‘She Knows It’ and, most recently, ‘The Self -sabotage” – released their debut album SUCKERPUNCH today.

Maggie will perform the album live, in its entirety, at her first-ever concerts in Los Angeles and New York. Tickets sold out in two minutes flat for the shows, which will take place at the Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles on October 15 and the Mercury Lounge in New York on October 19. She will also perform at Louder Than Life and Aftershock festivals this fall.

Building on the sharp songwriting and singularly honed sounds she established on her acclaimed 2021 EP PARANOIA, SUCKERPUNCH chronicles a journey of self-discovery and self-actualization across its 15 tracks.

“It’s an unexpected punch, a blow that we did not see coming,” explains Maggie Lindemann. “When I was doing this, I had these blows in my own life; When I listened to the album from beginning to end, I realized that everything was a punch – for me, for my fans – and I knew that had to be the title.

On the rebel anthem “cages,” Maggie punches haters who mistake her for someone seeking their approval: “I don’t need your opinion on what I do (woah)/Lions ain’t made for cages/Let me live my life,” she sings. In the official video, which premiered today, Maggie and her friends gather in an LA parking lot filled with school buses and in the shadow of a towering church. With boards and beer in hand, they head to a local skatepark. Directed by Vixxion and Sam Fine, the kinetic music video captures the track’s punk energy, exploding with unpredictable angles and edits.

V Magazine hailed SUCKERPUNCH as “a detailed network of hyperpop-meets-punk tracks and nostalgic early-life punk anthems”. Consequence observed on “self-sabotage”, “It is on the brand in the best way for Lindemann, who has a gift for highlighting the experiences of young people – especially young women – who find and use their own voice.”

In addition to the SUCKERPUNCH release, Maggie will be hosting a Twitter Spaces Listening Party with Z100’s Maxwell on Monday, September 19 at 5:00 p.m. PT and an in-store event at Fingerprints Music in Long Beach at 6:00 p.m. PT also in September. . 19. She will be joining an in-store event at GuestRoom Records in Louisville, KY on Wednesday, September 21 at 5 p.m.
