Thanks to Official Transformers Collectors Club we have our first real look at Treadshot with Catgut from their upcoming TFSS 2.0 line. These two are repaints of Transformers Generations Deluxe Warpath and Jida from Takara Tomy’s Arms Micron line. The image reflected below gives us a nice comparison of the TFSS 2.0 figures and their G1 Action Master counterparts.

So the Micron isn’t really painted, but has more than one plastic color?

It’s of course a shame that I can’t afford it or the rest of TFSS 2.0 at the moment. I really like the way he and Catgut turned out. Well, hopefully I can get them on their own once they are available and in stock at BBTS or TFSource.

Is this the actual product or just a repainted mockup? Because Strika’s head might actually work better for this guy. He still has a bit of that widow’s peak that goes against Treadshot’s square features, but the protruding buttons would echo his G1 head a bit more than Warpath’s head.

If that’s difficult, it’s because Treadshot was my first action master, and I want this toy to f # * @ ing ROCK! I want his face to exude the confidence that comes from being such a badass sniper that he can kind of shoot you to death with a chainsaw (which seems more possible than most action masters). able to stand while aiming their combination weapons anyway).

It looks good, and I understand that a certain popular resin casting customizer will give it a new face, so I can’t wait!

I’m glad I signed up. I like Treadshot a lot more than I thought I would and expect to be impressed with the rest of the lineup. I just hope they adjust the deco on Chromedome – the hybrid G1 / IDW deco hurts my eyes.

Adding the Arms Microns was a good choice. They come pre-assembled, right?

They should. :) I’m just anxious with Stylor: being made from S.2 whose instructions contain a bad error. In short:

Instructions: backpack – thick part of the upper – wings – main body
Correct assembly: backpack – wings – thick part of the shaft – main body

Hopefully the Club or Hasbro catches this.

Hopefully, indeed. :D

For anyone who owns the Jida mold, is there a way to rework it into a gun mode that Treadshot could use instead of a chainsaw?

No, Treadshot can shoot Autobots within half a mile, even with a melee weapon.
He is so good!

Or maybe Catgut is the same brand as Transmetal Tarantulas saw blade. They have a similar color scheme.

So if it’s not painted plastic, does that mean there’s a huge pile of … sorry … somewhere? cat guts… orange Jida bodies and black Jida legs sitting in a warehouse somewhere? Or would they have made a new bunch of coins for these?

Considering the tank artillery, I kinda like that Treadshot has a melee weapon to hold, although I agree, if Jida / Catgut had a tail that could be turned into a cannon, allowing us to spinning 180 * in the thand of Treadshot, the transformation would be much closer to the identical. Still a chain grappeling claw weapon could be cool and useful for close combat. And, since Jida is covered in 5mm dowel holes … I wonder if there is a usable dowel for the Energon Starscream pistol (EDIT: Or the lance grip for E Skyblast) handy. …

you can turn the Chainsaw Cat into something almost vaguely a bit like a gun.

Anyone Who Has Made Installment Payments For TFSS 2.0 – Check Your Card Balances! They apparently billed GI Joe club members for their second installment today, and also accidentally billed TFSS 2.0 subscribers in the process.

It’s impossible. TFCC never messes around with stuff like that.

;)

From Brian @ TFCC:

Brian wrote:Hello everyone,

Last night we had a hard drive issue that stopped the prepayment for the GI Joe FSS 2.0 installment payment. When the programmer restarted the billing sequence, he accidentally picked up installment clients for the TF FSS 2.0. This was a pre-authorization only and NO cards were charged.

We canceled all pre-authorizations today, so you may or may not see both of these if you log into your credit card issuer. Nothing happened with the accounts paid in full. This software version can only be sent to everyone, as I cannot separate people from down payment only. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to any of our customers. Everything is now fixed.

Thank you for your understanding and support,

Brian

I was absolutely charged something. Maybe it will reverse tomorrow, but still, something has definitely been billed. Typical patronage.
