New Delhi: Shortly after being sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra in the presence of Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at the Raj Bhawan in Mumbai, Shiv Sena rebel group leader Eknath Shinde changed his Twitter DP in which he can be seen with the late Shiv Sena leader, Bal Thackeray. With this act, Shinde attempted to send a powerful message to Uddhav Thackeray and his ministers. Instead of mentioning the Chief Minister in his profile, Shinde wrote himself as Shiv Sena Leader, Maharashtra State Minister and MP Kopri-Pachpakhadi on his Twitter bio.

Since Shinde left Surat with rebel MPs from Maharashtra, he accuses Uddhav Thackeray of an alliance with Congress and the NCP that Uddhav compromised with the ideas of Bal Thackeray and Hindutva. Shinde said Bal Thackeray always fought against Congress and the NCP, but Uddhav joined them.

Amidst the political tussle that was unfolding in Maharashtra so far, the BJP handed over command of Maharashtra to Eknath Shinde and now Devendra Fadnavis has taken over as Deputy CM under Shinde.

By writing a new script of “Hindutva” in Maharashtra, BJP gave a great message to Uddhav Thackeray. Shinde also talked about carrying on Bal Thackeray’s legacy by calling himself a real Shiv Sainik.
