Ed sheeran is a 30-year-old singer-songwriter from Halifax, UK best known for his hits like “Shape of You” and “Perfect”.
After getting engaged in 2018, Sheeran announced that he was taking a hiatus from music after marrying his wife, Cherry Seaborn, in 2019. The couple welcomed a daughter, Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran, in August 2020.
The “Tenerife Sea” crooner recently announced that he is releasing a new album this year following the release of the music video for his single “Bad Habits” on June 25, 2021.
Sheeran’s fifth studio album, =, to be released later this week October 29, 2021.
However, Sheeran recently announced on his Instagram page that some of his promotional efforts may be hampered due to a recent diagnosis of COVID-19.
Sheeran Declaration
In a brief Instagram post, Sheeran said, “Hey guys. Little note to let you know that I unfortunately tested positive for Covid so I’m self-isolating now and following government guidelines. I am now unable to move forward with any in-person engagements at this time, so I will be doing as many of my scheduled interviews / performances as possible from my home. My apologies to anyone I let down. Be careful everyone x “
Fans were quick to support the singer, filling his page with emojis with hands of prayer and wishes for a speedy recovery.
“I am sorry to hear that!” a fan wrote. “Will get better soon.”
“Your health is the most important,†added another.
One fan added: “Stay safe” next to a heart emoji.
The diagnosis comes a day after Sheeran was seen supporting his wife and Harleston Magpies teammates during a hockey game in the town of Suffolk. Due to the pouring rain, Sheeran was pictured watching from his car, a blue Bentley Bentayga.
Seaborn is an acid hockey player. After her pregnancy, she returned to the club she first joined at the age of 17. In 2009, she received the distinction of being named young player of the year. She also helped her team with the UK University Championship in 2012 and 2013 while studying at Durham University.
Future work
In addition to his new album, Sheeran revealed to a Dutch radio station that Elton john contacted him to collaborate on a new Christmas single after “Step Into Christmas” first reached the Top 10 of the UK charts.
However, John didn’t seem too happy that Sheeran had spilled the fuse, as their collaboration was supposed to be kept under wraps.
“Yeah, he let the cat out of the bag, didn’t he?” Jean asked. “I swore to keep it a secret, then the bigmouthed f-king Sheeran goes to the Netherlands. It’s supposed to come out… we haven’t finished it yet, so there’s still some work to do.
He added: “I can’t say more because it’s in his hands.”
Sheeran has held the top spot in the UK for the past fifteen weeks. After his debut single “Bad Habits” propelled him to No. 1, it was quickly replaced by his most recent single, “Shivers”.
